Installation
For Network Licensing, Client Computers get authorization from the Server.
ZWCAD 2009 should be installed on each Client Computer, and the ZWCAD Network License Server program should be installed on the Server for licenses management.
On Clients:
(1) Double-click the downloaded file ZWCAD2009Eng.exe to start the installation.
(2) On the Welcome page of the ZWCAD 2009 Eng Setup dialogue box, click Next to continue.
(3) Please read ZWCAD END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT carefully, and then click I Agree.
(If you do not agree with the terms and conditions, click Cancel to quit the installation.)
(4) Select a version which you purchased and then click Next.
(Only one version of ZWCAD may be installed on your computer: Standard or Professional.)
(5) Click Browse to specify an installation folder for ZWCAD 2009. Alternatively, you can keep the default path.
(6) Click Install.
(7) Please wait for the installation to complete. You can view the details of the installation process by clicking Show details.
(8) Click Finish to complete the installation.
(9) If your computer is connected to the internet, you may see the dialogue box below. Please fill out the form so that we can provide you with the latest information about ZWCAD, including special offers.
(If you do not wish to submit this information, just click the red X (close) button at the upper right corner of the dialogue box to cancel this step.)
(If your computer has no connection to the internet, the following dialogue box is displayed instead. Read the information, and then close the dialogue box by clicking the red X button. The installation is complete.)
On the Server:
(1) Double-click the downloaded file ZWCAD_Net_Eng.exe to start the installation.
(2) On the Welcome page of ZWCAD Network License Server Setup dialogue box, click Next to continue.
(3) Click Browse to specify the installation folder of the ZWCAD Network License Server program, or keep the default path.
(4) Click Install.
(5) Please wait for the installation to finish.
(6) Click Finish to complete the installation.
Activation
You can run ZWCAD for 30 days before the activation is required. If you wish to operate ZWCAD for more than 30 days, it must be activated. The activation requires the use of a dongle.
·On the Server
(1) Plug the dongle into the Server.
(2) Launch the Console of ZWCAD Network License Server by following steps:
a. Click the Start button on the Windows taskbar
b. In the Start menu, choose All Programs (or Programs).
c. Choose ZWCAD Network License Server, and then choose Console.
(3) Select an appropriate entry from the License Type list. For example, if you are using a USB dongle, please select “USB Port lock”.
(4) Obtain the eight-digit Serial Number.
(5) Contact your local dealer from whom you purchased ZWCAD 2009, and ask for the license code that goes with the eight-digit Serial Number.
(6) Enter the license code, and then click Register.
(7) The prompt confirms that you have activated successfully. Click OK.
(8) Restart the server program (Console), and then click Start to enable the network serving. Clients can now get authorization from the Server automatically.
·On Clients:
(1) Launch ZWCAD 2009 by double-clicking the ZWCAD 2009 icon on the Windows desktop.
(2) Choose Evaluation, and then click Next.
(3) After ZWCAD 2009 starts as a trial version, go to the Help menu, and then choose License, and then Hardware Encryption.
(4) In the License dialogue box, check Hardware Encryption and Enable net license. Enter the Server IP and Port number (6617 is the default Port number). Click OK.
(5) Restart ZWCAD 2009, and it will automatically obtain a license from the Server.
(6) Repeat these steps for every Client Computer.
